Every Meal is a non-profit organization based in Roseville, MN whose mission is to fight child hunger through community and school partnerships. We strive to make a difference in children's lives by focusing on food gaps-times when children aren't in school to access meal programs.
As public health concerns for COVID-19 grow in our communities, the need to feed children living in food insecurity is also growing. Our commitment to provide a nutritious meal source is as strong as ever. To be as prepared as possible to meet this ever-expanding need, The Sheridan Story is partnering with 31 school districts in Minnesota and western Wisconsin who are now coordinating all nutrition response and creating food distribution points for their students. We are providing food bags at these distribution points during the school closures. This temporary restructuring of our normal direct-to-school delivery has allowed us to continue distributing nutritious meals to food-insecure children and families during this coronavirus pandemic. Since our response to the crisis a month ago, we've provided over 553,000 meals to children and families in our community. We're preparing hundreds of thousands of more meals to help meet this need as it continues to grow.
