NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with mental illnesses and their families. For over 40 years, NAMI Minnesota has worked to promote the development of community mental health programs and services, change public attitudes about mental illnesses, improve access to services and increase opportunities for recovery.
NAMI Minnesota champions justice, dignity and respect for all people affected by mental illnesses. Through education, support and advocacy they strive to eliminate discrimination surrounding mental illnesses, affect positive changes in the mental health system, and increase the public and professional understanding of mental illnesses.
NAMI Minnesota has been working hard to pivot to meet the needs of our community while working remotely to reduce the spread of COVID-19. NAMI Minnesota has been pouring their immediate energy and resources into addressing the COVID-19 crisis in innovative ways. They have focused on mobilizing online classes and support groups, creating timely resources for you and your family, raising awareness about the impact of COVID-19 on our mental health and advocating at the legislature for flexibility and funding for mental health treatment and services.

NAMI Support Groups & Classes
NAMI Minnesota has cancelled or postponed all of its in-person classes through May 1, 2020. NAMI Minnesota has moved many of its support groups to Zoom and is offering a new list of free online Zoom classes for the general public on its classes page.
